Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association, Inc. (MRMCA) Establishes the Maryland Concrete Industry Scholarship Fund
The Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association, Inc. (MRMCA) is proud to announce the establishment of the Maryland Concrete Industry Scholarship Fund, aimed at supporting the next generation of professionals in the concrete industry. This scholarship fund will provide financial assistance to students pursuing degrees related to the concrete industry or other relevant studies.

This scholarship fund represents our commitment to advancing the concrete industry through education, innovation, and professional development.
Supporting the Future of the Concrete Industry
Proceeds from the Maryland Concrete Industry Scholarship Fund will directly benefit students, helping them to cover tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
Eligibility and Application Process
REQUIREMENTS
1. Only owners, employees, and family members of companies with active Membership in the Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association, Inc. (MRMCA) may apply.
2. MRMCA Executive Board Members & family, MRMCA Board of Directors Members & family, and Maryland Concrete Industry Scholarship Fund Committee Members & family are not eligible.
3. Applicants must attach an Essay of 300-500 words describing any scholastic or professional accomplishments, professional goals, any leadership positions, honors received, extra-curricular activities, volunteer work, and why this scholarship is important to you.
4. Are you interested in pursuing a career in concrete construction, concrete technology, civil engineering, materials science, or a related field? ______.
(If not, we would ask that you provide a brief explanation to your essay on how this scholarship will support your educational/career goals.)
5. Community/Industry Engagement: We ask that you tell us one way you could use your education to give back to the Maryland community or concrete industry.
6. Attach a current Transcript and proof of full-time status with the application.
7. If in the event this Scholarship is awarded in the second semester, recipients must submit updated transcripts and proof of continued full-time status.
8. All applicants must complete and submit a new application package annually.
9. Attach one Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, counselor, employer, or MRMCA Member.
Scholarship amounts are decided by the MRMCA Scholarship Fund Committee and based on availability and need of the candidate.
2026 Application deadline: February 25, 2026.
Applications will be reviewed by MRMCA's Scholarship Committee - a panel of industry experts, and recipients will be selected based on their academic performance, personal statements, and recommendations. Detailed information about the application process, deadlines, and required materials will be available through MRMCA.
